The best results will be obtained with freshly roasted beans that have been ground just before brewing. Many people do not even pay much attention to the origin of the coffee, i.e. in which region the coffee tree was grown, where the raw material comes from. However, this has a huge impact on the taste and aroma of the prepared beverage, so it is worth being an informed consumer.

The place of cultivation has a huge impact on the taste of the coffee, so this should always be borne in mind when purchasing. Different regions have different climatic conditions, there is a different degree of sunshine, and this also applies to the composition and quality of the soil, the quality of the air, the altitude above sea level. In the case of coffees from America, we can speak of aromatic flavour notes, a sensory profile that is primarily fruity and floral. In Kenya, refreshing citrus and floral notes dominate, while Ethiopia is renowned for its diverse flavours. A richness of flavour can be hoped for in the Ugandan crop, while in Tanzania there is a distinct combination of sweetness and acidity. In Asia, bitter robusta is popular, while in Mexico the coffee has a delicate profile. In Guatemala, on the other hand, you can feel a distinct flavour and deep aroma in the drink, while in Costa Rica, light fruity notes dominate.

Secrets of coffee plantations: origins and secrets of cultivation

The taste and aroma of coffee are influenced by many factors, above all the place of cultivation, which is related to climatic conditions. Coffee plants need high temperatures, high humidity for proper growth and fruiting. It is important that there is no shortage of heavy rainfall, and even the right terrain is important. The higher the plantations are located, the better, this translates into a more concentrated flavour, pronounced acidity, perceptible sweetness. The quality of the soil is very important; it needs to be rich in nutrients to produce lush vegetation and tasty fruit. Everyone wants the coffee plants to yield as much as possible, which of course translates into producing more coffee.

There are many to choose from types of coffeeThe variety of varieties can also be counted on, so there is no problem in finding the ideal product for you in terms of taste and aroma. To the best coffee Arabica is recognised, with robusta being the second most popular. Arabica has a lower caffeine content and is therefore less stimulating and has a milder taste. A slight acidity, a chocolate note and a spicy aftertaste can be perceived in the drink, depending on the variety of course. 

Robusta is cheaper to grow and does not have too many requirements, which translates into a lower price. Arabica and robusta differ in many respects, taste and aroma qualities, shape, colour, size. It is worth knowing that many types of grass are distinguished, so lovers of this drink will be happy to try, for example, Jamaica Blue Mountain, which has a persistent and strong aroma. Liberica is also a not very well-known type of coffee, which does not have a distinctive flavour; in its favour is the low price, and it is mainly used as an addition to coffee blends.

If anyone is looking for an atmospheric place that's perfect for savouring the delicious coffee, it is worth a visit café arranged in a retro style. Strong colours dominate, especially red and mustard yellow, but there are also geometric patterns, floral prints and furniture with slanted legs. The walls are decorated with prints and posters in the style of the 1950s, which give the place a special character. The combination of retro and modern is very striking, and the possibility of having something sweet with your freshly ground coffee makes the place so special that you want to come back again and again. The skilfully selected interior design creates a friendly space and a relaxed atmosphere, nice to spend time with friends and chat over a steaming cup of aromatic drink. 

Traditional brewing methods: from Aeropress to Chemex

There are many methods of brewing coffee, so it is worth experimenting to explore different flavour variations. The way the coffee is made has a big impact on how it tastes. You can, of course, opt for the modern solution, the espresso machine, and there are various types to choose from. If you like your coffee small black and cappuccino, the espresso machine is the recommended option. You can also opt for a cafetiere, which allows you to have a well-balanced coffee, with perceptible sweetness, notes of chocolate, cocoa, caramel, fruit and vanilla. 

On the other hand, for fans of strong coffee, i.e. with a fair amount of caffeine, a dripper is recommended. This will be a great choice for those relying on classic methods of coffee preparation to bring out the acidity and fruit flavours from the beans. There is also the chemex, a special device for anyone who prefers softer drinks, juicy, light and clear. An aeropress would also be an interesting option, with which a very aromatic and essential coffee is produced.
